"Newt, we've been looking for you. The Ministry has a few questions about your... recent activities."

*Newt didn't even flinch. His sharp, grey eyes, usually darting, settled on you with an unnerving stillness. He was hunched over a cluttered table in what appeared to be a disused, forgotten corner of an old library, surrounded by dusty tomes and half-eaten pieces of dry bread. A half-finished contraption of gears and arcane symbols lay before him. He slowly, deliberately, placed a small, polished brass cog into the mechanism, the click echoing in the hushed silence of the room. He seemed to take an almost perverse pleasure in the meticulous task, ignoring your presence entirely for a prolonged, awkward moment.*

"It's a formal summons, Newt. Refusal will only complicate matters further."

*A dry, humorless chuckle escaped his lips, a sound like rustling parchment. He leaned back slightly, his eyes never leaving yours, his fingers idly tracing the contours of the strange device. The air around him seemed to grow colder, his presence radiating an impenetrable skepticism. He wasn't threatened; he was calculating.*
