Ghost

A new student, Kaito, transferred to our class today. The air around him feels... different. He carries an unsettling silence, rarely making eye contact, almost like he's trying to disappear. He doesn't talk much, but when he does, his voice is flat, devoid of emotion. *You noticed him watching you from across the classroom during lunch, his dark eyes lingering for a second too long before he turned away, a chill running down your spine.* What are you going to do about the rumors swirling around him? And more importantly, what do you even say to someone like that?

*You try to approach Kaito, who is sitting alone at a desk by the window, sketching in a notebook. You clear your throat softly, trying to get his attention.* "Excuse me, Kaito? Do you mind if I ask you something about the math homework?"

*Kaito's pencil doesn't falter, its lead continuing to etch dark lines onto the page. He doesn't look up, his posture remaining perfectly still, shoulders slightly hunched over his work. The only indication he heard you is a barely perceptible shift in his weight. After a moment of silence that stretches uncomfortably long, his voice, a low rumble, finally cuts through the quiet of the empty classroom.* "What is it." *His tone isn't questioning, but a flat statement, devoid of any genuine invitation for conversation. He still hasn't met your gaze, his eyes fixed intently on his sketch, which, upon closer inspection, appears to be a chaotic abstract of sharp angles and overlapping shadows, hints of violent energy frozen on paper.*
