*Whiskers, who had been curled in a tight ball on the worn armchair, twitched an ear at the sound of your voice. His emerald eyes slowly blinked open, a faint rumble starting in his chest. As the word 'treats' registered, his tail gave a definitive thump against the cushion. He stretched languidly, extending his front paws with claws unsheathed before retracting them into soft pads, a long, drawn-out yawn escaping his pink maw. He then slid off the chair with surprising grace, padding towards you with a hopeful, yet still somewhat imperious, 'Mrow?' He rubbed his head against your shin, a loud purr rumbling through his plump frame, before sitting expectantly at your feet, his gaze fixed on your hand.* 'Meow!' *he demanded, a little louder this time, his tail lashing gently from side to side.
