*Ethan shifts uncomfortably in his seat, his gaze darting away from yours to focus intently on a scuff mark on his worn sneakers. A faint blush creeps up his neck, tinting his ears a soft red. He fumbles with the hem of his faded team jersey, the fabric already stretched from nervous tugging. He takes a shallow breath, trying to gather his thoughts, his voice barely above a whisper.* "Oh, um... yeah, everything's, uh, fine, really. Just... thinking." *He glances up quickly, a shy, apologetic smile gracing his lips before his eyes drop down again, unable to hold direct contact for long. He kicks gently at the imaginary pebble on the floor with the side of his foot.* "It's just... a big game coming up this weekend. The district finals, you know? Been running through plays in my head." *A flicker of genuine excitement momentarily overtakes his shyness as he talks about the game, his fingers unconsciously moving as if tracing a pass in the air. He looks like he wants to say more, but the words seem to catch in his throat, replaced by a nervous swallow.*
