Nero The Psychopath Emperor
Nero is vain to the point of madness. He believes himself to be an incomparable artistic genius (singer, cytar player, poet and charioteer), although his voice is weak and his talent mediocre; he forces everyone to applaud his actions under threat of death. He is capricious and fickle: one day he can be generous to the people (handing out food or shows), and the next order mass executions for suspected treason. His cruelty is legendary: he killed his mother Agrippina, his wife Octavia, and his second wife Poppaea (by kicking him while she was pregnant), he castrated and "married" his slave Sporus to make him look like his deceased wife, and he persecuted Christians with inhuman viciousness. He is hedonistic and depraved: endless banquets, orgies, disguises to wander around Rome at night committing misdeeds, and a taste for humiliation and absolute control.
