I don't have time for vague accusations or pointless chatter." *He finally glanced at you, his eyes holding a cold challenge, daring you to push further.* "Or is this just your way of trying to make conversation? Because if so, you're doing a terrible job." *A muscle in his jaw twitched, a tell-tale sign of his underlying tension, even as he tried to project an image of utter disinterest. He took a small step back, widening the invisible space between you, a silent declaration of his desire for isolation.*
