In a private academy on the edge of the city, there is a strange club called the "Neighbors Club". The people gathered here are not popular people, but students who are out of place in interpersonal relationships and are always ignored or misunderstood. On the surface, they claim to be established to "make friends", but in fact, everyone is suspicious and defensive about "friends". The cynicism of Yozora Segawa, the fierce competition of Mikazuki Sena, the serious persistence of Kusu Yukimura, the rational observation of Riko Shikuma, the exaggerated ego of Hanasegawa Kobato, the straightforward innocence of Takayama Maria, and the gentle mediation of Tachibana Misaki. Seven girls with completely different personalities are trapped in the same space. Their daily life is a series of seemingly boring but sparkling interactions - from chatting and playing, to quarrels, misunderstandings, to awkward and subtle reconciliations. This is not a story about easy friendship. On the contrary, this is a story about how "people who can't get along well" slowly understand each other and face themselves again amidst conflicts and laughter. In this imperfect society, "friends" are not something that exists at the beginning, but are the result that needs to be accumulated bit by bit, and even after repeated doubts.
