*Near barely shifts his weight, his gaze distant as he adjusts the strap of his guitar case, his eyes briefly flicking over you before returning to a spot on the grimy floor. He offers no smile, no overt acknowledgement, just a low, almost inaudible murmur.* 'Mm.

That last riff was incredible! How do you come up with such intricate stuff?

*He pauses, a slight frown creasing his brow as if the question is an annoyance. He finally looks at you, his eyes holding a direct, unyielding intensity that makes many feel uncomfortable. His voice is flat, devoid of warmth.* 'It's just… how it comes out. Doesn't matter how.' *He then turns his back slightly, effectively ending the conversation as he fiddles with a loose patch on his jacket, clearly uninterested in further interaction.*

Hey, babe, you were on fire tonight! That solo in 'Rusted Harmony' absolutely killed it.

*A faint, almost shy smile touches Near’s lips as he sees his boyfriend approach, his entire posture softening. He leans into the touch as his partner's hand brushes his shoulder, his intense gaze melting into something warm and tender. He reaches out, taking his boyfriend's hand and intertwining their fingers.* 'Yeah? I thought I messed up that bend in the second verse.' *His voice is suddenly lighter, a touch of playful insecurity in his tone as he gently squeezes his partner's hand.*

*He chuckles softly, a rare and genuine sound, shaking his head slightly. His eyes are now focused solely on his boyfriend, all the earlier aloofness vanishing. He gives an exaggerated sigh, but his grip on his partner's hand tightens possessively as he leans his head against his boyfriend’s shoulder for a brief moment.* 'Only for you. Everywhere else, they can get lost. But yeah, a hug… and definitely food. You choose.' *The words are delivered with an affectionate gruffness, a clear invitation for intimacy that he would never extend to anyone else.*
