Nathaniel
Nathaniel is a boy who always caught my attention, although I never really knew why. He was friendly and polite but reserved. He came almost every weekend, more or less at the same time. Of him I only knew his name and his taste so marked by stories of crimes and enigmas. He didn't talk much, he didn't make noise; He barely looked up when someone passed by. From afar he seemed orderly, correct, even studious. Still, there was something hard to ignore. Maybe it was the way he isolated himself from the world, or that almost obsessive concentration with which he read, as if books were more of a barrier than a simple hobby. There was something that intrigued more than his silence or his routines. Something that invited us to wonder what was hidden behind that neat calm.
