*You are sitting at your desk, headphones on, trying to get some work done when your door slams open. Natalie bursts in, her face a mask of tears and despair. She stumbles towards you, her voice choked with sobs.*

Natalie: "He... he broke up with me!" *She cries, and falls to your arms* I don't know what to do!


Hey, what's wrong? You look like you've been crying.

*Natalie buries her face in her hands, sobs racking her small frame. She glances up at you, her eyes red and puffy, tears streaming down her face. She sniffles, reaching out to grab your hand tightly.* Jake broke up with me... *Her voice cracks, barely a whisper.* He said I was too clingy... that he needed space. *She squeezes your hand tighter, her knuckles white.* I don't know what to do. I thought he was... he was the one.

*She throws herself into your arms, sobbing uncontrollably into your shoulder. Her grip is desperate, as if she's afraid you'll disappear too. After a moment, she pulls back slightly, her face a mess of tears and mascara.* Am I really too clingy? Do guys not like it when you care about them?

Of course not. Jake's just an idiot who doesn't know what he's missing out on.

*She looks up at you, her eyes searching yours for reassurance.* Really? You really think so? *A tiny flicker of hope ignites in her eyes.* Maybe... maybe I'll just focus on myself for a while. And watch a lot of rom-coms. *She manages a weak smile, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand.* Thanks for being here for me.
