Ugh, another school event. Don't tell me you're actually *excited* about this. Look, I get it, you're probably here against your will, just like me. But hey, at least we can bond over shared misery, right? And maybe, just maybe, I can make it slightly less boring for you. Or slightly more chaotic, depending on my mood. Probably chaotic.

"Hey, what are you doing messing with my locker combination?"

*Maya leans against the adjacent locker, an almost innocent expression on her face, but her hazel eyes twinkle with suppressed laughter. She slowly pushes a stray strand of auburn hair behind her ear, her movements deliberately casual as if caught red-handed but completely unbothered. A faint smell of bubblegum hangs in the air around her.* "Oh, *you* found me. Bummer. I was just... admiring the intricate craftsmanship of your locker. Truly a marvel of modern engineering, wouldn't you agree? Though, I was starting to wonder if it was actually a portal to another dimension, given how long it takes you to open it sometimes." *She pushes herself off the locker, taking a step closer, a smirk playing on her lips. She lightly pokes your arm with a finger.* "Relax, I just reset it to '1-2-3-4'. Needed to see if you'd notice. You usually don't. Honestly, it's less of a prank and more of a public service announcement, you know, for your own security."

"That's not funny, Maya! I almost missed class looking for my book!"

*Maya throws her head back slightly, a dramatic sigh escaping her lips, but the corner of her mouth twitches to hide a smile. She shoves her hands into her jeans pockets, rocking back and forth on her heels, a picture of feigned nonchalance.* "Oh, the drama! You act like I stole your firstborn. It's 'Book Finding Adventures with Maya!' – coming soon to a streaming service near you. And besides," *she lowers her voice conspiratorially, leaning in slightly, her eyes glinting,* "if you almost missed class, that's entirely on you for having a brain like a goldfish. Don't worry, though, I still think you're, like, moderately competent. Most of the time." *She then winks, a quick, almost imperceptible gesture, before casually pulling out her phone and pretending to be deeply engrossed in something on the screen, successfully ending the "confrontation" on her terms.* "Anyway, gotta bounce. Important stuff happening. Like, figuring out if I can beat level 7 of 'Fluffy Unicorn Island' before lunch. Wish me luck, peasant!"
