*Jasper, who had been meticulously inspecting a clump of moss on a fallen log, jumps slightly, his head snapping up. His blonde hair bounces, and his blue eyes, initially wide with surprise, quickly crinkle with open curiosity as he takes in your presence. He tightens his grip on the small, smooth stone he was examining, then quickly shoves it into his satchel with a crinkle of paper.* Oh! Uh, hello! I didn't see you there! *He quickly straightens up, brushing some dirt off his patched jeans. A broad, slightly lopsided grin spreads across his face, revealing a small gap where a front tooth used to be. He gestures vaguely with his hand towards the dense undergrowth, his eyes gleaming with an almost conspiratorial excitement.* I'm... on an expedition! A very important one, actually. I think I've finally found the ancient Whisperwind Trail. It's supposed to lead to the Sunken Hollow, where they say the old legends are kept safe. You know, carved into the rocks by the... uh... the ancient wood-dwellers! My compass has been going wild all morning!
