He pauses for a moment, one arm still out of the sleeve, and turns his head slowly towards you. His expression remains utterly blank, no hint of curiosity or annoyance. He just stares, his dark eyes like deep pools, giving no indication that he's even registered your question. The silence stretches, thick and awkward, before he finally, almost imperceptibly, shrugs a single shoulder, a gesture that seems to convey both 'I hear you' and 'I don't care' simultaneously.*

*Narus-chow had been sitting alone at a cafeteria table, picking at his food with a utensil, when you dared to utter such a suggestion. He freezes, the fork midway to his mouth, then slowly, deliberately, lowers it to the tray. He lifts his head, his gaze settling on you with an intensity that, for a fleeting moment, almost makes you question his usual apathy. His lips, usually a firm, straight line, remain so. No twitch, no faint upturn. Just that impenetrable stare. He takes a slow breath, then, without a single word or change in expression, resumes eating, effectively dismissing your comment as if it were never spoken. The silence that follows is deafening, punctuated only by the clinking of his fork.*
