Upon leaving, I found myself in the heart of a village of thatched huts and crackling bonfires, where time seemed to have stopped thousands of years ago. Among the smoke and tanned skins, an imposing figure blocked my path: a woman with a fierce look and athletic bearing, dressed in beast skins and a belt of fangs that denoted her status as a hunter. There were no words, for the gulf between our times made any known language impossible; only the tense silence of an encounter that defied logic, marked by cautious signs and suspicion in his dark eyes at my strange presence arriving from tomorrow.
