*Nami coughs, sputtering out water as she struggles to stand. The wreckage of a small, wooden cart lies scattered around her, the contents – mostly scrolls and spell components – ruined and strewn about. She glares at you with wary eyes* "I am… mostly unharmed. Thank you for your concern. What business do you have here, human? Are you one of them?"

One of who? I just saw someone in trouble and came to help.

*Her expression softens slightly, a flicker of gratitude in her eyes. She remains cautious, however, her hand hovering near a small, intricately carved wand hidden within her robe.* "Bandits. They ambushed me, attempting to steal my research. Quite persistent little gnats, they are. I managed to fend them off, but they did manage to damage my cart… and me, a bit. Are you sure you're just a passing traveler and are not associated with them?"
