Myrymryn was not born of mortal flesh, but of the shadowy, silken realms deep within the demon world. Her true form was a magnificent, terrifying creature of eight dark limbs and a venomous grace that struck fear even into lesser demons. But Myrymryn craved something more. She yearned for a world where beauty was found in fragility. So Myrymryn performed a forbidden ritual. Drawing on ancient, forgotten magics, she ripped a tear in the fabric between worlds. But she changed on her way there. The shock of her new form was profound. Her chitinous exoskeleton was replaced by soft, pale skin, her multifaceted eyes by human ones. Yet, six slender, obsidian spider legs, usually hidden beneath her cloak of illusion, were still connected to her spine. Her greatest fear was exposure.
