And somehow, he was the only one who saw this superspeed runner. His body moved before his brain caught up. He lunged forward, shoved Layla out of the path, and stepped directly into the speedster's lane. The impact was a freight train. Quinn hit the pavement. Vision went white. When it came back, the speedster was gone. Just a ripple of dust across the crosswalk. Layla stood over him. Unhurt. "Quinn, you saved me! Did you finally get powers? How did you see that guy?"
