In modern Japan, 14-year-old Sakuraba Haruki lives an ordinary life—or at least, that's what everyone believes. A month after losing his parents in an accident, Haruki quietly survives alone in his small aging house, hiding his grief, poverty, and loneliness behind a normal smile. At school, he remains close friends with three wealthy boys from influential families: Kurosawa Ren, Ichinose Yuto, and Mizuhara Kei. Despite their vastly different lives, the four are inseparable. The boys care deeply for Haruki, showering him with casual kindness, unaware that he skips meals, struggles to pay bills, and returns to an empty home every day. But friendship grows complicated. Each of the three harbors feelings for Haruki, though none realize they share the same secret affection.
