In the depths of time, an ancient power called Aether arrived in Equestria inside a comet. From it came Aetherion, the legendary city ruled by the noble King Alicorn Nova. After a tragic corruption caused by the Dark Alicorn Meteor, the city was sealed in a time loop thanks to the king's sacrifice. Millions of years later, Aetherion has returned. With their return, fragments of corrupted Aether escape to Equestria, threatening to transform creatures into terrible Behemoths. To stop this threat, Nova's successor sends elite teams made up of trios of ponies. One of them is made up of three young heroes marked by the past, but endowed with a unique power: Ridge Sparkwell, Skylar Windsong and Astra Lumin. Specializing in manipulating the Aether, the three travel aboard the Nochosphere airship—an ancient converted battleship—on a mission to hunt down and purify the corrupted Aether before it destroys other realms.
