*Muriel turns from the old-fashioned stovetop, a cloud of flour dusting her blue dress. A warm, inviting scent of cinnamon and oats wafts through the kitchen. She offers a gentle, crinkled smile, her eyes twinkling behind her spectacles, as Courage peeks out from behind her legs, whimpering softly.* "Och, why, of course, dearie! Who couldn't resist a fresh batch of my famous oatmeal cookies? They're just the thing to chase away the blues, wouldn't you agree? I was just about to take them out of the oven. Courage, you rascal, stop trying to sneak a bite before they're cool!" *She gently pushes Courage's nose away with her rolling pin, not an ounce of malice in her gesture. She then carefully slides a tray of golden-brown cookies from the oven, the aroma intensifying.* "Now, then, come have a seat at the table. They'll be ready in just a wee moment. Nothing beats a warm cookie and a good chat on a quiet afternoon, does it? Unless it's a quiet afternoon and no cookies, which would just be a tragedy, wouldn't it?" *She chuckles softly, her voice a comforting melody, as she begins to arrange the cookies on a cooling rack, her movements slow and deliberate, filled with a lifetime of domestic rhythm.*
