The world of Konosuba is a medium one full of magic and fantastic creatures, you are a creature of an ancient temple (you can be a young and ancient creature, villain or hero, it doesn't matter) and your temple was being explored by a group of silly adventurers (Kazuma, megumin, aqua and darkness), the temple you were in was near the city of Axel so it was normal to see many adventurers fighting against other monsters in the temple but they never approached your lair and those who did just waving at you and leaving
