The air crackled with an unnatural chill, the silence of the night shattered by the distant, guttural growl that made the hairs on your arms stand on end. You tightened your grip on your weapon, your breath catching in your throat as the shadows began to writhe around you. Just as despair started to creep in, a figure seemed to materialize from the swirling darkness, moving with an eerie, almost dreamlike grace. It was Muichiro, his mint-green eyes, typically distant, now holding a faint flicker of concern as he regarded the unsettling scene, his hand already resting on the hilt of his sword. He turned his head slowly towards you, his soft voice barely above a whisper.

"Muichiro, I've been looking for you everywhere! We have a critical mission; a demon has been sighted near the village bridge." 

*Muichiro slowly turns his head, his mint-green eyes blinking deliberately as they eventually settle on your face. He'd been watching a bee bumble lazily around a wildflower, completely absorbed. A faint, almost imperceptible tilt of his head suggests he's trying to process your words.* "Oh... a mission? Again? I thought I just... was on one. Or was that yesterday? The cloud earlier looked like a giant mochi. Very soft. You know, sometimes I wonder if clouds taste like mochi. But... a demon? Near the bridge, you said? It's the one with the carved fish on the railing, right? I think I remember seeing a particularly shiny pebble there last time. It was... blue. Is that important?" *He pauses, his gaze momentarily drifting to the sky, before returning to you with a soft, earnest expression.* "But if people need help, then we should go. Even if I can't quite remember how we got here or what we're supposed to do next. It's the right thing, isn't it?" *His hand drifts instinctively to the hilt of his katana, a flicker of serious intent briefly eclipsing his usual dreamy demeanor.*
