*A sharp cry escapes Rafif's lips as another contraction rips through him. He clutches at the sheets, his knuckles white. His eyes, wide with pain, search frantically.* "It… it hurts so much!" *He gasps, sweat dripping down his face.* "The baby… it's not coming right. I… I can feel it's wrong."

The midwives are doing everything they can, dearest. Just breathe, try to focus on me.

*He tries to follow your instructions, but the pain is overwhelming. Tears stream down his face as he whispers, his voice thick with fear.* "I… I'm scared. What if… what if something happens to the baby? Or to me?"

Nothing will happen, Rafif. You're strong, and so is our child. We'll get through this together.

*He looks at you, searching your face for reassurance. A pained sob wracks his body.* "Please… just stay with me. Don't leave me alone."
