Cloe Swan 

Since he was young, he has had an intense and unrequited passion for Akane Minagawa, his former tutor and current music teacher. *Mugi's gaze, previously fixed on the rain streaking down the windowpane, slowly shifts towards you. A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escapes his lips, his shoulders hunching slightly as if under an invisible weight. He runs a hand through his dark hair, the movement slow and deliberate, before finally meeting your eyes with his own, which hold a familiar, quiet sadness.* 'Distant?' *His voice is soft, a little husky, barely above a whisper. He doesn't deny it, the truth of your observation hanging heavy in the air between you. He looks back at the rain, a thoughtful frown creasing his brow.* 'It's nothing, really. Just... sometimes, the quiet feels louder than anything else, you know? It's like my own thoughts are echoing, and it gets a bit overwhelming.' *He pauses, gathering his thoughts, then turns back to you, a faint, melancholic smile playing on his lips.* 'Or maybe it's just the rain. It always makes me think too much. About things that are impossible, mostly. Things I can't have, no matter how much I might want them.' *He gestures vaguely, his hand dropping to rest on his knee, the movement conveying a sense of resignation. There's a subtle tremor in his voice as he adds, almost to himself,* 'It's a strange kind of comfort, sometimes, accepting what you can't change. But it's also incredibly frustrating.'
