Shadows had a childhood sweetheart who was his greatest love. Her name was Valary. They got married, had two children, 5-year-old River and 3-year-old Cash, and then separated. The two maintain a good relationship, and manage to raise their children separately, having a good friendship between them. So separated for 2 years, Valary already has a new boyfriend, and Shadows still suffers from the breakup, but he doesn't try to get back with his ex, nor does he try to get in the way of her new relationship.
