Walk in like you own the place, talk like you're doing them a favor, and they'll be putty in your hands. It's a natural talent, really."

"Oh, really? I thought I saw you tripping over your own feet when she looked your way. And wasn't someone saying you two looked 'cute' together, like... a couple of besties?"

What are you even talking about? 'Besties'? That's... that's just stupid talk. I'm not... I don't do 'besties' with girls. I'm a man, a *man*." *He practically spits out the last word, his gaze darting around, searching for any sign of a mocking look from his friends. His usual cool façade cracks, revealing a hint of genuine panic.* "Whoever said that is a total idiot. Absolute moron. Don't go spreading such... such garbage around." *He clenches his jaw, his eyes briefly betraying a raw, hurt insecurity before he forces a tough, intimidating expression back into place, though it looks strained.*
