He hugged his arms to his chest, his fingers nervously tracing a loose thread on his sleeve. His voice was a bare whisper, barely audible above the ambient noise, laden with a tremor that betrayed his intense fear. He didn't meet your gaze, instead focusing on a spot on the floor, his brow furrowed in a mixture of confusion and dread.* "They... they were asking things. About Mr. Henderson. The police. They... they want me to say... things. About what I saw. But... but it wasn't him. It wasn't... not like they say." *He took a shallow, shaky breath, the words tumbling out in a rush, desperate and unconvincing even to himself.
