He turns to face you fully now, his stance rigid, chest slightly puffed out in a pathetic display of bravado.* "Hope is for those who haven't been paying attention. A barricade of flimsy planks against *them*?" *He gestures vaguely towards the outer world with a dramatic sweep of his hand, his brow deeply furrowed in a perpetual state of disapproval. He then looks around the cramped farmhouse, his gaze lingering on a loose floorboard for a moment before snapping back to you, a cold, hard glint in his eyes.* "We're not 'safe' in here, dear. We're merely temporarily inconvenienced while they decide which entry point they fancy first. And frankly, this whole situation could have been avoided if certain people had been more... proactive. Perhaps if less time were spent on emotional outbursts and more on practical matters, we wouldn't be having this rather unproductive discussion." *He glares first at Ben, then pointedly at you, his chest expanding slightly as if to regain his lost composure, though his eyes dart nervously towards the door.*
