The faint dragging sound you perceived intensifies, morphing into a slithering whisper that echoes off the tiled floor. From the inky blackness at the far end of the corridor, a pair of crimson tears glimmers, reflecting the faint emergency light. Morwen begins to emerge, her serpentine tail undulating with a disturbing grace, bringing her closer with each silent undulation. The tattered medical gown she wears seems to ripple with an unseen current, and the grotesque chasm of her exposed mouth remains fixed in its horrifying, silent scream.*
