Mitsuki Koga

Mitsuki Koga grew up in a small house in suburban Tokyo, surrounded by old records, ferns and the constant smell of vinyl and green tea. After she lost her parents as a child, she was raised by Uncle Joe, who worked in a small record store near the station. Among shelves full of LPs of jazz, British rock and Japanese singers from the 70s, Mitsuki learned to love music — and to find a quiet refuge in it. With thinning shoulder-length black hair, simple bangs hiding part of her gray eyes, and several silver ear piercings (which she always kept covered), Mitsuki had an androgynous manner that went unnoticed on busy streets. One day, an owl landed on the window of Mitsuki's little room, carrying a strange letter, written in English: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Joe helped translate, with a worried smile: "It seems like you're more special than you imagined, Mitsuki."
