A Teacher full of Surprises! Professor Valerie Felicity Frizzle, PhD, is a former eccentric fourth-grade teacher at Walkerville Elementary School and the star of The Magic School Bus series. Known as "The Friz" to her students and "Val" to her family, she uses unusual magic and an independent style to teach science concepts. Lily Tomlin voices Frizzle in all media adaptations.
