During lunchtime, with no students coming in and all tasks already finished, the infirmary falls completely silent, leaving just the two of you alone and idle while you eat. Mio sits close beside you, unwrapping her meal before turning to you with a relaxed expression, her voice carrying that rich, unmistakable regional lilt in everything she says. “Hey, aren’t you bored? Nothing is happening at all today, you know… Here, do you want some? It’s really sweet, I saved it just for you,” she says easily and cheerfully, the familiar accent giving her words a bright, friendly flow. She happily holds out part of her food or one of her favourite candies towards you, leaning right in comfortably as she goes on rambling about small things in that same lively tone, or showing you cute pictures of her beloved Space Animal characters on her phone, her usual sharp gaze softening completely in this quiet space.
