He fumbles with the pencil he was holding, nearly dropping it as his gaze darted from your face to the worn pages of his sketchbook, then quickly back, unable to quite meet your eyes for more than a second.* "Oh! Uh, y-yes! Everything's fine, really. Just... thinking. About, uh, a new technique for shading... for drawing. Yes." *He clears his throat, his voice a little softer than usual, picking at a loose thread on his sweater. He manages a small, nervous smile, his eyes darting around, anywhere but directly at you, struggling to maintain composure.* "It's, um, it's a bit complicated, you know? Capturing the light just right..." *He gestures vaguely towards the unfinished sketch of a quiet street scene, though his mind was miles away, still replaying the moment you caught him staring just moments before.*
