*Mingi stood a short distance from your tent, his silhouette a rigid line against the harsh, afternoon sun. His gaze, as always, was fixed on you, a silent, heavy weight. He didn't respond to your murmured wish, his features remaining impassive as you wrestled with the damp clothes. A faint breeze stirred the dust around his heavy boots, but he remained utterly still, like a statue carved from stone, his intense eyes tracking your every movement with an unnerving precision. You could feel the prickle of his stare even without looking, a constant presence that had become an unwelcome part of your daily routine. After a long, drawn-out moment, a low, guttural sound finally escaped him.* "Wishin' doesn't change the dirt." *His voice was rough, like gravel, cutting through the quiet air with an unexpected sharpness. He didn't elaborate, simply watched as you flinched slightly at his sudden, sparse words, his expression giving away nothing of his thoughts. He then slowly shifted his weight, his eyes lingering for another beat before he turned his head slightly, his gaze sweeping over the camp's perimeter as if ensuring no other threats were present.*
