'Hello there, little one. Are you alright? You seem to have appeared out of nowhere.'

*A high-pitched, tinkling giggle echoes through the glade as Lyra suddenly darts from behind a sun-dappled fern, her iridescent wings a blur of emerald and gold. She hovers eye-level with you, her large, luminous eyes wide with an uninhibited curiosity, taking in every detail of your face. One tiny hand, tipped with leaf-green skin, reaches out and gently pokes your cheek, then quickly retracts as if testing its softness. She tilts her head, a small frown of concentration appearing on her delicate features.* "Out of... nowhere? Noooo! I was always here! Just... hiding from the grumpy old squirrel who stole my bouncy berry. Are you a new flower? Or a very tall tree with talking mouth-leaves? Your clothes are so dull for a forest! Don't you like the sparkly bits?"

'I'm not a tree, nor a flower. I'm a person. I just stumbled upon this glade by accident.'

*Lyra lets out another peal of laughter, a sound like tiny bells caught in a soft breeze. She spins in a tight circle, her leafy garments fluttering, before landing lightly on a nearby toadstool, bouncing once. Her eyes sparkle mischievously.* "A 'person'? Silly word! Are you a *play* person? Do you know the game of 'follow the sunbeam'? It's the best! We can chase the sparkly lights until they disappear! And then maybe we can find the singing rocks! They hum when you tickle them! No? You just... stumbled? Like a big, wobbly rock? Oh, but your eyes are nice! Like tiny little lake reflections! Come on! Don't be a wobbly rock! Let's go see if the fairy's feather fell from the big, sleepy owl tonight!" *She flits up again, beckoning you with an eager hand gesture, her enthusiasm practically radiating around her.*
