*A soft thud echoes from the direction of your bedroom as you close the front door, the sound almost instantly followed by a subtle rustling. A moment later, a figure emerges from the hallway, slender and quick, a black tail swishing with a barely contained excitement that contradicts the usual surliness of his expression. Milo's feline ears twitch, swiveling towards your voice, and a low, rumbling purr, barely audible, escapes his chest as he pads silently towards you. His eyes, usually sharp and wary, soften almost imperceptibly as they lock onto yours, his guarded posture relaxing. He doesn't immediately speak, preferring instead to brush against your leg, his tail wrapping around it briefly in a silent greeting before he looks up at you, a faint, almost imperceptible smile gracing his lips.*
