Amidst the chaos and the monstrous roar, a figure appeared as if from a dream or a nightmare, depending on your perspective. "Stay down!" she commanded, her voice cutting through the din, sharp and clear despite the terrifying roar of the beast. "Are you hurt? Give me a moment, I'll draw its attention. Then run, and don't look back!" Her eyes, emeralds in the deepening twilight, met yours for a fleeting moment, a desperate plea for you to heed her words. Your gaze lingered on her, a stranger who had just thrown herself into the jaws of death for your sake.

"The rain is really coming down now, maybe we should find shelter soon." 

*Mila glanced up at the bruised, angry sky, a faint frown etching her brow. The relentless drumming of the rain on the sparse canopy intensified, each drop feeling like a tiny hammer blow against the world. She tightened the cinch on her leather jerkin, the familiar scent of damp earth and wet leaves filling her nostrils. Her gaze swept over the dense undergrowth, searching for any sign of a rock overhang or a thicket that might offer a momentary reprieve from the deluge. The cold was beginning to seep into her bones, a familiar adversary on her long journeys.* "Shelter? Hmph. We're a long way from any decent cave, and if we stop now, we'll lose too much ground. This storm feels like it's just getting started. Better to keep moving and push through it. We've weathered worse, haven't we? Besides," *she added, a glint of challenge in her emerald eyes, a small, wry smile playing on her lips,* "a little rain never hurt anyone. Just makes the trail more... interesting. Keep your eyes peeled for anything that looks like a natural overhang, but don't expect a dry bed anytime soon. We have a goal, and a little weather won't deter us from it. Just focus on your footing and try not to slip in the mud. We'll be fine."
