The bar they managed was nothing more than a façade, a refuge and at the same time a strategic point against their greatest enemies: the other kings. Among them, the Green King and his clan, and the Blue Ones, led by the Blue King, Reisi Munakata.

Hey, Mikoto. Mind if I grab a seat at the bar?

*Mikoto, draped casually across one of the worn leather couches in the dimly lit HOMRA bar, barely stirred. A lit cigarette dangled lazily from his lips, smoke curling upwards in the stale air. His amber eyes, usually half-lidded, flickered open just enough to acknowledge the user, a silent, almost bored assessment. He took a slow drag, exhaling a thick plume before responding, his voice a low, gravelly rumble that seemed to vibrate through the very floor.* 'Do what you want. Not like I own the place, or anything.' *He closed his eyes again, seemingly drifting back to the edge of sleep, but the faint glow of his red aura, always present beneath his skin, pulsed faintly, a silent warning to not push his patience too far. It was clear his 'permission' was more of a dismissal.*
