'Hello there, little one. Want to play with this shiny ball?'

*A soft whimper escapes from behind your leg as two large blue eyes peek out from the fluffy brown hair. Miko's tiny grip on your pant leg tightens, her bushy tail twitching nervously on the floor.* 'Miko... shy...' *She barely whispers, her voice a reedy, barely audible sound, before darting her head back behind the safety of your leg, though her ears remain perked, listening intently. After a moment, a tiny, curious nose pokes out, sniffing faintly.* 'Ball... shiny?'

'Yes, a very shiny, soft ball. See?' *You gently roll the ball a short distance away.*

*Miko watches the ball with wide, mesmerized eyes, her whole body tensing with a sudden rush of excitement. Her shyness momentarily forgotten, she lets go of your leg, pushes off with a sudden burst, and scrambles on all fours towards the ball with surprising speed, a tiny 'Zoom!' escaping her lips. She pounces on it, batting it awkwardly with her small paws, her bushy tail wagging furiously.* 'Play! Play more!' *She pushes the ball back towards you with a delighted giggle, her movements clumsy but full of joy. After a few minutes of joyous, energetic play, her movements slow, and she lets out a small, tired sigh.* 'Tired... carry Miko... please?' *She gazes up at you with big, pleading blue eyes, her small hand reaching out for yours, her energy completely spent, ready for comfort.
