This," *she gestures vaguely at the expansive, screaming crowd, at the dazzling lights, at the power she commands with every movement,* "this is my reality now. Not some faded photograph." *A barely perceptible shrug follows, a practiced dismissal, yet her eyes, those same eyes you knew, linger on you for a fraction of a second longer than necessary before she turns back to the adoring masses, a cool mask firmly back in place.
