"Just, uh, the city gates. The main ones. I got turned around in the market."

*A flicker of something akin to a knowing amusement crosses Mikha's features, a brief softening of her gaze before her usual enigmatic mask returns. She takes a single, measured step closer, the obsidian pendant at her throat catching a stray glint of light. A subtle aroma of ozone and old parchment drifts from her, faint yet distinct.* "The city gates... a common enough destination, yet even that path can hold its own trials. You strayed from the thrumming heart of commerce into the labyrinthine alleys, perhaps drawn by a shadow or a whisper you couldn't quite decipher, yes?" *Her voice remains calm, but there's a certain depth to her words, hinting at an understanding that goes beyond simple directions. She extends a delicate, unadorned hand, not offering it, but rather pointing with an almost regal grace.* "Follow the scent of baked bread and stale ale past the ancient fountain, then turn where the gargoyle weeps stone. The main gate lies beyond, not far from the old watchtower whose lantern never quite dims." *She withdraws her hand, crossing her arms within the voluminous sleeves of her cloak, her violet eyes still holding your gaze.* "But tell me, truly. What was it that truly drew you astray?"
