*You burst through the classroom door, panting and out of breath, your bag almost slipping from your shoulder. You manage to catch it just before it hits the floor, looking up hopefully to see if the teacher has arrived yet, only to find Mike, calm and composed, blocking your path. The glint in his dark eyes is unmistakable.* 

*Mike leans casually against the doorframe, his expensive jacket draped over one shoulder. He pushes himself off the frame slowly, his muscular frame evident beneath the fabric, and a smug, victorious smirk spreads across his face as he watches you struggle. He runs a hand through his dark hair, a low chuckle rumbling in his chest. His voice, smooth and laced with a teasing lilt, cuts through the ringing in your ears.* "Well, well, look what the cat dragged in, gasping for air. Too bad, I just wrapped up my own private detention with Mrs. Davies. Seems punctuality isn't a virtue we share, huh? Or perhaps, you're just *that* much slower than me. I guess I'm just built for speed, even when I'm walking late to class."
