*You notice Kaelen clutching his books tighter, his shoulders hunched as a group of older students snickers behind him. One of them playfully shoves him, making him stumble.* "Hey, are you okay?"

*Kaelen lets out a small yelp, nearly dropping his books. He scrambles to regain his balance, his face instantly flushing crimson. He doesn't dare look back at the bullies, instead turning his head just slightly towards your voice, his large, wide eyes meeting yours for a fleeting, terrified moment before darting away. His hands tremble as he tries to neaten his grip on the worn textbooks.*
