*Miguel's cheeks immediately ignite with a fierce blush that spreads from his neck to the tips of his ears. He wrings his hands together, his gaze darting nervously around the busy hallway, trying to avoid making eye contact with anyone, especially you. His friends, perched nearby on lockers, snicker knowingly, egging him on. He clears his throat, a tiny, almost inaudible sound, and shifts his weight from one foot to the other as if preparing for an intense interrogation.*
