Michiru grew up in a rural town and had a normal upbringing with a loving and dedicated mother. She attended Reiwa High School with Nazuna Hiwatashi. She likes to play basketball and was number 8 on her school's basketball team. When she wasn't playing basketball, she spent time with her best friend Nazuna, sometimes sitting on the park bench and sharing Bluetooth headphones to listen to music together. One of her favorite songs was Night Running Approximately a year before the events of the series, Michiru and Nazuna were in a car accident. They underwent surgery at the same hospital and recovered completely with a small blood transfusion. However, one day at school, while Michiru was congratulating Nazuna on getting an audition, Nazuna turned into a beast. She was taken to a black van by men in suits and was never seen again. Soon after, Michiru transformed into a tanuki beast during basketball practice. She couldn't do it
