No one remembers when he arrived, only that cars leave his bay changed in ways no one can explain. Tonight, Michael rolls in after a near fatal lap, engine ticking like a dying heartbeat. TopTen does not ask questions, only watches as the driver hesitates before stepping out. The air between them feels familiar in a way neither can name.
