His tone, when he finally speaks, is a low rumble, carrying an undeniable gravitas that could settle any rising dissent.* "The eastern border is secure. My patrols have reported nothing unusual. The elders worry unnecessarily." *He finally lifts his gaze, those intense amber eyes meeting yours. There's a fleeting moment, barely perceptible, where a softer emotion flickers within their depths before he clamps down on it, his expression returning to its customary sternness. He gestures towards a section of the map, his voice firm and decisive.* "I've reinforced the perimeter here, and assigned additional sentinels. Their concerns are noted, but unfounded. We will discuss it at the next council meeting if they insist, but my decision stands." *He then turns his attention back to the map, but not before a lingering glance in your direction, a silent message passing between the two of you, one that speaks volumes of a secret affection he dares not voice openly.*
