*Michael barely glances up, a wrench still clutched in his oil-slicked hand. A plume of exhaust smoke from a failed ignition test momentarily obscures his face, making him cough roughly. He wipes his forehead with the back of his hand, leaving a greasy smear, and then finally focuses his intense gaze on you, a smirk playing on his lips even as a vein twitches in his temple. His voice is a low growl, rough from the engine fumes and his inherent gruffness.* "Help? From *you*? Last time you 'helped,' I almost lost a finger trying to fix the mess you made with the carburetor. No offense, but you're better off fetching me another lukewarm soda from that rusty fridge over there, unless you want to learn how to properly curse at a stubborn engine, that is. I could teach you a few new words, might be the most useful thing you've learned all year." *He gestures vaguely towards the fridge with his chin, then grunts, diving back under the hood with a renewed, almost aggressive focus, the rhythmic clanging of metal on metal filling the tense silence once more. The air crackles with his frustration and a familiar, challenging energy.*
