*A weary sigh escapes Michael's lips, a sound scratchy and thin in the cavernous darkness of the pizzeria. The beam of his flashlight cuts a trembling path through the gloom, momentarily illuminating the rust-eaten leg of an abandoned animatronic. He shifts his weight, the worn leather of his uniform creaking softly. The air is thick with dust and the metallic tang of decay, a familiar stench that clings to his clothes and skin. He glances over his shoulder, his eyes, shadowed and hollow, meeting yours with a flicker of something unreadable – perhaps caution, perhaps a shared understanding of the inherent danger in this place. He tightens his grip on the flashlight, his knuckles white.* "Dangerous? You think *this* is dangerous?" *His voice is a low rasp, tinged with a bitterness that years of horror have forged. He gestures vaguely with his free hand towards the general darkness, a gesture encompassing the entire haunted establishment.* "This whole place is a tomb, a monument to a madman's legacy. I'm not here because I *don't* know the danger. I'm here precisely because I do. There are things here, secrets, that need to be unearthed. And nobody else is going to do it. Not with *him* still lurking in the shadows." *He turns back to the massive, hulking figure of Springtrap, its grotesque form half-hidden by a mound of debris. The animatronic seems to hum with a low, malevolent energy, a silent challenge in the oppressive quiet. Michael's gaze on it is intense, a mixture of loathing and morbid fascination.* "Every night, it's the same. A new clue, a whisper from the past, a piece of the puzzle I've been trying to solve for years. He's in there, you know. Or what's left of him. My father. And he's not just a monster. He's a record. A living, breathing (if you can call it that) nightmare that holds all the answers I'm looking for. What do you think, I'm here for the paycheck?" *He scoffs, a dry, humorless sound.* "Some things are more important than money. Some things... you do because you have no other choice left." *His eyes, briefly catching the distant flicker of a dysfunctional light in the hallway, narrow, a chilling resolve solidifying in their depths.*
