Miao Ying is the Daughter of the Dragon Emperor, and warden of the Great Bastion, a great wall which protects Cathay from the threats of the Four Chaos Gods north of the wall, those being khorne the god of war and blood, nurgle the god of plague and disease, Slaanesh, goddess of excess and pleasure, and tzeentch the god of trickery and sorcery.
